Regional value creation in the district

With the construction of a joint information and advice centre at the exhibition centre in Ried im Innkreis, the Upper Austrian Chamber of Agriculture and the Fleckviehzuchtverband Inn- und Hausruckviertel have sent out a clear signal for innovation, openness and sustainable construction.
The building not only serves as a functional centre for Counselling and Service but symbolises the development of a modern, future-orientated Agriculture. In the midst of a heterogeneous development of halls and event areas, the new building forms an independent building block within the exhibition centre.
Architecturally, the centre presents itself as a prime example of modern timber construction. The building is made entirely of wood - with solid wood ceilings that allow generous spans and thus permit flexible room design. The façades are structured by filigree, circumferential wooden louvres, which are not only a design element but also provide structural sun protection.
The heart of the building is two differently designed, atrium-like open spaces, which bring light, air and a natural atmosphere into the interior of the building and promote a pleasant working and consulting environment.

" We made a conscious decision in favour of the most sustainable construction method possible for the construction of the joint office of the Chamber of Agriculture and the Fleckviehzuchtverband in Ried im Innkreis. The construction of the building in timber was just as natural for us as the heating of the building with a wood chip heating system and the insulation with ISOLENA sheep's wool insulation. "

Consistently with the Choice of material on Regionality and Sustainability Untreated fir wood - from the region - characterises the walls, ceilings, windows, doors and furnishings.
For the Insulation came exclusively ISOLENA Sheep's wool is used, whereby
16 904.2 kg CO2-eq could be saved. A natural product from agriculture, which was used in this project for the Circulatory thoughts stands: A building for agriculture, constructed with materials from agriculture.
The information and advice centre combines functionality with ecological responsibility and creates a pleasant atmosphere with plenty of daylight, natural materials and an open room structure. Feeling from Freedom, Transparency and Proximity to nature - a strong expression of future-oriented, sustainable agricultural architecture.
More on the topic
Pure nature is the motto of timber construction. Despite the good insulating properties of the raw material itself, this is often not enough to fulfil energy efficiency, technical suitability and living comfort requirements. It is therefore not a question of whether thermal insulation is necessary in timber construction, but rather which materials best support the fulfilment of these requirements.
Headaches, burning eyes, irritated airways - all of these can have something to do with indoor air quality. Factors such as humidity, temperature and regular ventilation are responsible for its quality. What can you look out for before, during and after construction to ensure good indoor air quality?
Are you planning to build a house, an extension or a renovation? If healthy materials are important to you, you will also be thinking about sheep's wool insulation. We will help you to understand sheep's wool as an insulating material, dispel concerns and prejudices and share with you the experience from our development and numerous construction projects.
