Nature and man united

A special highlight: the focus on nature in all areas - from the choice of building materials such as sheep's wool insulation to the products manufactured on site. A principle that consistently pursues the ecological approach of the Green Earth World - bringing nature and people together.
In the picturesque heart of the Almtal valley in Pettenbach lies the Grüne Erde Welt - an innovative centre of the Austrian company Grüne Erde, which focuses on a holistic combination of nature, production and sales.
The vision of an ecological, sustainable life is brought to life over an area of 9,000 square metres. The aim is to integrate nature into every step of the production process - from the origin of the raw materials to the manufacture and sale of the products. Visitors can follow the entire journey of the organic products and experience how the philosophy of being close to nature and conserving resources is put into practice.
In the midst of nature, the Grüne Erde Welt shows how sustainable craftsmanship comes to life - with open workshops, lovingly designed products and an organic bistro to savour.

The architecture of Grüne Erde Welt blends harmoniously with the surrounding nature: green courtyards, light-flooded buildings and open spaces create a soothing feeling that visitors experience as a natural oasis. Outside, colourful meadows and gardens invite you to pause and linger.
The entire building was constructed to the highest ecological standards using natural, regional building materials and relies on geothermal heating and solar energy.
With natural building materials and a total of 2,840 m² of sheep's wool insulation in the walls and roof area, the building is a zero-energy structure that is not only climate-neutral, but also particularly energy-efficient. The use of sheep's wool instead of mineral wool saves 45,603.8 kg CO2-eq. The symbiosis of nature and architecture can be experienced in a unique way - a place where the values of Grüne Erde can be felt in every (woollen) fibre.

On average, we spend around 20 hours a day indoors. The indoor air should be in order. However, pollutants are often hidden in unexpected places. There are many reasons for this: wrong choice of building materials, drying times not adhered to, airtightness, appearance before health ... One of the pollutants that can make you ill if the concentration is too high is formaldehyde.
Are you planning to build a house, an extension or a renovation? If healthy materials are important to you, you will also be thinking about sheep's wool insulation. We will help you to understand sheep's wool as an insulating material, dispel concerns and prejudices and share with you the experience from our development and numerous construction projects.
Sheep's wool is the only naturally occurring insulating material that both keeps you warm and protects you from heat, cold and moisture. The uniqueness of the raw fibre sheep's wool also makes it a material with unique, natural advantages in its end product. At ISOLENA, our commitment, research and development provide even more benefits.
