The good tone in hotel operations

A hotel business that combines the most diverse facets in many respects: Hotel Wesenufer is romantically nestled between the green hills of the Upper Austrian Danube Valley on one side and the gently flowing Danube on the other.

The hotel near the Schlögener Donauschlinge is run by Pro Mente Upper Austria and is Austria's only Inclusive hotel: People with mental or psychosocial disabilities are meaningfully and successfully integrated into the world of work. An invaluable contribution to promoting a sense of achievement and health among these hotel employees.

Health, environmental awareness and social responsibility are practised in every conceivable way at the seminar hotel on the Danube: the company has been awarded the Austrian Ecolabel, participates in the "United against waste" project to reduce food waste, sources 100% of its electricity from renewable energy sources and much more. 

In the first seminar rooms that were renovated, there were still industrially manufactured acoustic ceilings applied. These fulfil the purpose, but the material no longer conforms to the company's way of thinking.

In the course of further acoustic optimisation, hotel manager Margarete Durstberger deliberately set out to find a natural, healthy and regional solution and came across our acoustic felts made from natural sheep's wool.

Director Durstberger is very satisfied with the acoustic effect of the ceiling with the Silentum acoustic felts, describing it as "at least as good as conventional acoustic ideas - if not better.„

Interior decorator Erich Stöger has skilfully wallpapered the acoustic felts on the ceiling in the restaurant and in one of the seminar rooms. "I am genuinely delighted and feel a sense of joy every time I enter this room," says the dedicated hotel manager, summing up.
