Creativity in red and white

What started out as a small craft business in 1919 has now grown into a large company with over 100 employees.
This Growth is also the reason why the traditional bakery Guschlbauer commissioned architect Norbert Bruckner to create new office space in the existing company building in spring 2020.
"But where to get it from?", that was the question asked at Guschlbauer. A spacious gallery on the first floor was creatively converted into an office. The acoustic optimisation of the space was of great importance, as the adjoining office on the lower floor Entrance area creates noise that would be disruptive to office workers in their everyday work.
To prevent this, architect Bruckner turned to Silentum acoustic felt. Not only the sound-absorbing properties of the material were convincing. The bright carmine red of the felts used brings warmth and cosiness to the newly acquired 50 m² office space.
Particularly impressive are the movable Metal panels with acoustic felt. Furthermore, partition walls between the workstations, a wall element with pinboard function and box covers with the red felt were realised.
In combination with glass walls and an acoustic ceiling, the acoustic elements with Silentum felt provide a good surround sound and a pleasant working atmosphere for employees.

Many rooms have problems with reverberation: your own words follow you around unpleasantly. Sound absorbers can help. So that your home or office doesn't look like a recording studio, sheep's wool felt is a good idea.
Here we show you how you as a carpenter or interior decorator can create effective and visually appealing acoustic panels with natural wool felt.
